1. MALL ROAD 

    It is considered the most important place in Shimla. Mall road is surrounded by so many local shops, cafes, and restaurants. There is a huge variety of street stalls for jewelry, accessories, and clothes. This place is usually crowded on weekends, especially during winter. Tourists love to spend their time here doing so many activities. In winter, one can experience snowfall in this area. The view looks best during this time as the place is covered in snow. So, it's highly advisable to visit this place in winter. One of the main attractions in this place is the Church.  This church has no entry fee and is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 on all days. 

2. JAKHOO TEMPLE

Jakhoo temple is the famous temple of lord Hanuman. You can reach here either by car or ropeway. Ropeway Service is a little bit expensive as compared to the car option. So, if you have your own vehicle then it's great otherwise you can also take a local autorickshaw or taxi. Entry is free for all tourists. This temple has one of the largest standing statues of Lord Hanuman. Be very careful about your belongings because there is a bunch of monkeys in the temple where they are roaming freely.

3. JAKHOO HILLS

Jakhoo hill is a perfect place for nature lovers who admire greenery and nature's beauty. It is worth visiting there. It is located near the Jakhoo temple. The top of the hill looks spectacular, especially during the sunset. It is a very peaceful and calming place where one can reduce relax and explore aesthetic valley views.

4. SHIMLA WATER CATCHMENT WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

Perfect for adventure lovers, this is a 14 km long trek (7km on each side).  The trek can be done by foot or bicycle. You can rent a bicycle for INR RS200 per person. Exploring this area by bicycle is one of the best ways to experience something different on the trek. This place is surrounded by a dense forest and large alpine trees, making it even more beautiful. If you feel tired or exhausted, you can even rest on benches which are easily located in every area of this place.

5. VICEREGAL LODGE

This building is an old heritage British building. It has beautiful architecture and a garden. The garden has various flowers, making it even more mesmerizing. The view from the terrace is also great. This is a must-visit place in Shimla.
